Team North Jersey Judo Compete At Fall Promotional For Novice and Brown Belt Points

Secaucus, NJ October 19, 2019 – Team North Jersey Judo participated in the Fall Promotional for Novice and Brown Belt Points.  Congrats to Eugene Lavrov who took Gold in the Super Heavy Weight Novice Division.  Eugene was actually underweight weighing 218 but was force to move up because no one showed up in his weight.  These are 4 big guys he competed against and all good guys.  Eugene did Judo as a youngster in Russia but hasn’t done Judo in a while.  He trains with us on Saturday as he travels during the week but manages to take his Judo gi with him and trains during the week in Chicago.

Pablo Vasquez and Justin Johnstone come away with a win in the Sankyu 3rd Degree Brown Belt Division which gives them one point to get to the next level of brown.  Lastly James Holder from Central Jersey who comes to train with us on Saturdays moves to the Nikyu Division 1st Degree Brown with 3 wins yesterday.

Congrats to all and we hit the training grounds at North Jersey Judo Pompton Lakes to continue your path to Judo Black Belt.
