North Jersey Judo Tournaments

🗓️ Tournament Overview

• Garden State Judo Classic: Held annually this tournament features divisions for Kata, Juniors, Seniors, and Veterans.  In 2025, the event was elevated to a D-Level.
• North American Judo Championships: Held annually as well this event also features divisions for Kata, Juniors, Seniors, and Veterans and it is a E-Level event.
• Both tournaments offers a platform for elite competition across various age groups and skill levels.

Tournament Management by Ramon Hernandez

Both tournaments are directed by Sensei Ramon Hernandez, a 5th Dan (Godan) Judo Black Belt with extensive experience in organizing and managing judo events.  Under his leadership, North Jersey Judo has successfully hosted these large-scale tournaments, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all participants.

To streamline event management, North Jersey Judo deploys the Smoothcomp platform, a comprehensive competition management system widely used in the judo community.  Smoothcomp facilitates:

• Weigh-ins
• Bracketing
• Scoring
• Results and podium displays
• Live streaming of competition areas

This integration enhances the efficiency and transparency of tournament operations, providing real-time updates and a seamless experience for competitors and spectators alike.

Supporting the Judo Community
