The idea for North Jersey Judo’s membership site was born out of the chaos and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I still remember March 17, 2020—the day we got the news: we had to shut our doors and isolate.
By April and May, I was running Zoom classes for whoever stuck with us. It wasn’t easy. I found myself alone in the dojo, sometimes with just my son, staring at a screen, trying to keep our community connected and our Judo alive. I kept thinking: If only we had a proper online space to gather, train, and stay connected.
When summer came, we moved classes to the park, training under the sun just to keep going. By August, we were back inside—masks on, parents waiting outside, and new faces arriving whom I wouldn’t truly see until masks came off over a year later.
Through it all, one thought stuck with me: We need an Online Dojo. A place where our community could stay engaged no matter what, where learning and connection could continue beyond the mats—even through the toughest times.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the exclusive North Jersey Judo Online Dojo Membership Portal, available to NJJ members only!
This dedicated platform is designed to extend our dojo’s resources and foster a stronger community.
